Spin for something to do
Bored and can’t think of anything? That’s normal: being bored makes it harder to come up with ideas. Let the wheel do the thinking. Choose where you are, spin, and give the result a real try.
- At home: baking, puzzles, journaling, drawing, a home workout and more.
- Outside: walks, bike rides, picnics, photos and stargazing.
- With friends: game night, karaoke, thrift shopping, an escape room.
- Sleepover: face masks, bracelets, scary stories, a pillow fight.
- Rainy day: forts, origami, card tricks and a time capsule.
The ten-minute rule
Spin, then commit to the result for just ten minutes. If you’re still bored after ten minutes, spin again. Most of the time, you’ll keep going.
Tip: Make a wheel of things you keep saying you’ll do “someday.” Spin it whenever you’re bored and someday becomes today.
Sleepover ideas
The Sleepover list is built for a night in with friends. Choose Remove from wheel after each activity so the night keeps moving to something new. When the list is empty, it’s probably time to sleep. For a party game, try the truth or dare and would you rather options.
For parents and teachers
- Indoor recess: project the Rainy day list and let a student spin.
- Screen-free afternoon: put only offline activities on the wheel.
- Summer break: spin one new activity every day.
- Family weekend: each person adds two ideas, then spin for Saturday.
