Spin for a random Pokémon type

Spin and the wheel lands on one of the 18 types, each in its color. The result shows what that type beats and what beats it, so it doubles as a quick type-chart refresher. There are three lists:

  • All 18 types: Normal to Fairy, with strengths and weaknesses.
  • Starters: all 27 grass, fire and water starters from generations 1 to 9.
  • Generations: spin a generation and see its three starters.

Challenges to try

Monotype run. Spin a type and use only Pokémon of that type for a whole playthrough.

Random starter. Spin the Starters list before a new game and stick with what you get.

Generation roulette. Spin a generation and replay that game, or draw its starters.

Type quiz. Spin a type, then everyone names as many Pokémon of that type as they can in 30 seconds.

Tip: For a tougher run, spin twice for a dual-type team, and only use Pokémon that have at least one of the two types.
