Spin for a random age
Spin and the wheel picks an age. It’s made for writers, role-players and game masters who need a quick answer to “how old is this character?” There are five lists:
- 1 to 100: any age.
- Kids (4–12): for younger characters.
- Teens (13–19): for school stories and young adult characters.
- Adults (20–64): for most grown-up characters.
- Seniors (65–100): for grandparents, mentors and wise old wizards.
Build a character fast
Spin an age, then spin the personality wheel for a trait and the birthday wheel for a birthday. Three spins and you have a character sketch: a 72-year-old, hot-headed retiree born on Halloween already has a story.
Tip: An age that doesn’t seem to fit is often the most interesting. A brave nine-year-old or a reckless eighty-year-old makes a story more fun.
Games with random ages
- Guess the age: describe a character, and others guess the age the wheel picked.
- Act your age: spin an age and act out ordering lunch as someone that age.
- Life stage challenge: spin a stage and write what a day in that person’s life looks like.
