Give me a theme
Spin and the wheel picks a theme. Use it to start a drawing, a story, a party plan or a photo walk. There are five ready-made lists:
- Drawing: underwater, steampunk, cozy café, cloud kingdom and more.
- Writing: story themes like a secret door, second chances or the night market.
- Party: ’80s night, masquerade, luau, murder mystery, space party.
- Photo challenge: shadows, reflections, golden hour, symmetry, textures.
- Spirit week: pajama day, twin day, crazy hair day, decades day.
For artists and writers
A theme is bigger than a prompt: it’s a direction that leaves room for your own ideas. “Underwater” could be a mermaid portrait, a sunken ship or a fish in a teacup. Spin a theme, then spin the what to draw wheel for a subject that fits it.
Tip: Running an art or writing challenge? Spin one theme per week and share it with your group. Everyone interprets it differently, which is the fun part.
Party and event planning
Can’t agree on a party theme? Put the options your group likes on the wheel and spin. The Party list is a starting point: delete the ones that won’t work for your space or budget, add your own, and let the wheel decide.
Spirit week planner
Planning a school spirit week? Spin five times with Remove from wheel to fill Monday to Friday with no repeats. The Results tab lists the days in order, ready to copy into a flyer.
Photo challenges
Pick a theme from the Photo challenge list and take ten photos that fit it, on a walk or around the house. It’s a great way to see familiar places differently.
