What changed for 2026
Conference realignment kept going in 2026. The Pac-12 is back with eight football teams, adding Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State to Oregon State and Washington State. The Mountain West added UTEP, Northern Illinois and North Dakota State. Louisiana Tech moved to the Sun Belt, and Sacramento State joined the MAC. The wheel’s lists reflect all of that.
