A wheel with percentages
On a normal wheel, every slice has the same chance. On a percentage wheel, you decide: give one slice 60% and another 1%. The slices resize to match, so what you see is exactly the odds you get.
How to set the odds
- Open the list view with the list button under the entries. Weights are already on.
- Type a number next to each entry. The percent next to it updates as you type.
- Spin. The result card shows the winner and the chance it had.
The numbers don’t have to add up to 100. The wheel works out each slice’s share of the total. But using numbers that add up to 100 makes it easy: 60 means 60%.
Ready-made percentage wheels
| List | Odds |
|---|---|
| Loot drop | Common 60%, Uncommon 25%, Rare 10%, Epic 4%, Legendary 1% |
| Prize wheel | Try again 40%, Sticker 30%, Candy 20%, Gift card 9%, Grand prize 1% |
| 70 / 30 | Yes 70%, No 30% |
| Chance of rain | Rain 30%, No rain 70% |
| Even split | Four slices at 25% each |
Tip: Running a prize wheel at an event? Set the odds so your stock lasts. If you only have 5 big prizes for about 500 spins, give the big prize a weight of 1 out of 100.
Ideas for a chance wheel
- Game nights: loot drops, critical hits and random events with real odds.
- Classroom rewards: common small rewards, rare big ones.
- Raffles: give each person a weight equal to the number of tickets they bought.
- Teaching probability: spin 100 times and compare the Scores view with the percentages.
For a plain 1 to 100 roll, use the random number generator 1–100.
