Why spin for small decisions?

Small choices eat up a surprising amount of time: where to eat, what to watch, who goes first. When every option is fine, a spin ends the back-and-forth and nobody has to be the one who decided. For bigger calls, use the result as a gut check: if you feel relieved, go with it, and if you feel let down, you’ve learned what you really wanted.

Tip: Most decision wheels let you turn on Weights. Give the options you prefer a bigger number and the wheel still decides, just with the odds leaning your way.

Hungry? The food wheels have their own category.

Questions people ask

Which decision wheel should I use?

For two options, use the A or B wheel. For a straight answer to a question, use the yes or no wheel. For three or more options, type them into the decision maker or the wheel of names.

Are the decisions really random?

Yes. Every wheel picks its result with your browser's secure random number generator before the spin starts, so every slice has a fair chance.

Can I save my own lists?

Yes. Whatever you type into a wheel is saved in your browser on that device, so it's still there next time.
