Spin the bottle, no bottle needed
Type the names of everyone playing. They’re placed around the circle, and a bottle sits in the middle. Spin, and when the bottle stops, its neck points at the person who’s picked. Switch to an arrow if you prefer: the arrowhead does the pointing.
- Who goes first in a board game or card game.
- Who answers the next truth or dare.
- Who picks the movie, the music or the takeout.
- Who’s “it” in a game of tag or hide and seek.
Bottle or arrow?
Choose Bottle for the classic look, or Arrow for a spinner-board feel. They work the same way, and the result card always shows the name, so there’s no arguing about which end was pointing.
Tip: For a bigger group, use full screen and put the device in the middle of the circle. Everyone can see where it lands.
Spin the arrow for directions
The arrow is also a handy direction spinner:
- Compass: eight directions, from North to Northwest. Spin and walk that way for a mystery walk.
- Left, right, forward, back: four moves for a dance game, a maze game, or deciding which way to turn at the next corner.
Make it fair for everyone
Every name gets the same slice of the circle, and the pick happens with your browser’s secure random number generator before the bottle starts turning. Want someone left out of a round? Choose Remove from wheel after they’re picked, and they stay out until you put them back.
Pair it with another game
Spin the bottle is best as a picker for another game. Try it with the truth or dare wheel, the conversation wheel, or charades.
