Spin for what to eat
“What do you want to eat?” “I don’t know, what do you want?” The food wheel ends that loop. Pick a list, spin, and you have an answer before anyone opens a delivery app.
There are seven ready-made lists above the entries:
- What to eat: a dozen crowd-pleasers, from pizza and tacos to pho and BBQ.
- Cuisines: fourteen styles of food, for when you know you want to go out but not where.
- Comfort food: mac and cheese, chili, pancakes and other cozy picks.
- Healthy: bowls, salads, salmon and lighter meals.
- Lunch ideas: sandwiches, wraps, bento boxes and quick bites.
- Snacks: popcorn, fruit, trail mix and more for the afternoon slump.
- Desserts: ice cream, churros, cheesecake and friends.
How to use the food wheel with a group
- Let everyone add one idea. Type each suggestion on its own line. It’s only fair if everyone has a slice.
- Agree on the rules first. One spin, or best of three? Decide before you spin, not after.
- Spin. If the result gets a big groan, choose Remove from wheel and spin once more. One veto each is a good rule.
Tip: Two people can’t agree? Each of you writes three foods. Six slices, one spin, no arguing.
Make it a food roulette game
- Cuisine passport: spin a cuisine each week and try a restaurant or a recipe from it.
- Mystery snack night: spin the snacks list for each person, then share.
- Cook-off: spin a dish for each team and see who makes the best version.
- Dessert decider: after dinner, one spin settles it.
Healthier choices, on purpose
Trying to eat better without overthinking it? Use the Healthy list, or turn on Weights and give the healthier options a bigger number. They’ll get bigger slices and come up more often, and the wheel still keeps it a surprise.
More food decisions
For a drive-thru, try the fast food wheel. For meals to cook tonight, use the dinner wheel. And if the real question is “should we even go out?”, the yes or no wheel can settle that first.
