Spin for a number from 1 to 12
A dozen even slices, each with about an 8.3% chance. Twelve is everywhere: months in a year, hours on a clock, eggs in a carton, inches in a foot.
Months and hours
- Random month: 1 is January, 12 is December. Spin to plan a trip, pick a birthday for a story character, or choose a month to save toward.
- Random hour: spin for an hour on the clock, then spin 1 to 60 for the minute. Great for telling-time practice.
- Gift exchange month: spin to decide which month your group does its next swap or meetup.
Tabletop and classroom
- d12 rolls: role-playing games use the twelve-sided die for big weapons. Spin once per die.
- Times tables: spin a number from 1 to 12 and quiz the class on that table.
- Class jobs: twelve students, twelve jobs. Spin to hand them out.
- Twelve days: pick a day in a twelve-day countdown or calendar.
Tip: For times-table practice, spin twice. The first spin picks the table, the second picks what to multiply it by.
A dozen ways to decide
Number up to twelve options on a sticky note, like snacks, games or places to go, and let the wheel choose. Twelve is about as many as you can comfortably keep on one list without losing track.
Fair and even
Each spin is picked by your browser’s secure random number generator before the wheel moves, and every number gets the same slice. Past spins don’t change the odds of the next one.
