Every single digit except zero
Spin for a number from 1 to 9. Each one has the same one in nine chance. It’s the range for anything that counts from one and stops before double digits.
Nine-player batting order
A baseball or softball lineup has nine batters. Instead of arguing over who leads off:
- Number your players 1 to 9 on the roster.
- Spin and choose Remove from wheel. That player bats first.
- Keep going until the wheel is empty. The Results tab has your full batting order, top to bottom.
Nine also lines up with innings: spin for which inning a fun rule or a team challenge kicks in.
Sudoku and number puzzles
A Sudoku grid uses the digits 1 to 9. Spin for a digit to practice with, for the number to place first, or to fill a starting square when you’re making your own puzzle.
Tip: Teaching times tables? Spin twice and multiply the two numbers. With 1 to 9 you’ll cover every single-digit fact.
Other ways to use 1 to 9
- Starter challenge: spin for a generation number in a game series, then play with that generation’s starter.
- Counting games: spin and have little kids count out that many objects.
- Seating: spin to assign nine seats or nine stations.
Fair every spin
The number is picked with your browser’s secure random number generator before the wheel moves, and every slice is the same size. For a 0 to 9 digit, set From to 0, or roll single digits in the random number generator under Random digits.
