Pick a number, 1 or 2

Spin and the wheel lands on 1 or 2. That’s the whole tool, and it’s surprisingly useful. Anything you’d normally settle with a coin works here: assign 1 to one option and 2 to the other, then let the wheel call it.

  • Who goes first: player 1 or player 2, in any two-player game.
  • This or that: pizza is 1, tacos is 2. Spin.
  • Which sibling: settle who gets the front seat, the last cookie or the remote.
  • Tie-breaks: two teams with the same score? One spin decides.

Tip: Say out loud which option is 1 and which is 2 before you spin. It stops anyone from changing their mind after the result.

Best of three, best of five

One spin can feel a little too final. Spin three or five times and go with whichever number comes up most. Open the Results tab and switch to Scores to see the tally for 1 and 2 side by side. Clear the results when you want to start a new round.

Want a word instead of a number?

If your question is really a yes or no question, use the yes or no wheel, which has the same 50/50 odds with answers on the slices. Need a third option? Try pick a number 1–3.

Fair every time

Each slice gets exactly half the wheel. How long the wheel spins, where it starts and how fast it goes are only for show: the winning number is chosen first, and the animation is built to land on it.

Questions people ask

Is it really 50/50?

Yes. The wheel has two slices of the same size, and the result is picked by your browser's secure random number generator before the spin starts. 1 and 2 each have exactly a one in two chance, every spin.

Why spin a wheel instead of flipping a coin?

No coin needed, no coin rolling under the couch, and everyone can watch the same screen. The Results tab also keeps a record of every spin, which a coin can't do.

Can I play best of three?

Yes. Spin three times and check the Scores view in the Results tab. It counts how many times 1 and 2 came up, so you can see the winner at a glance.

Does the previous result change the next one?

No. Every spin starts fresh. Getting 1 three times in a row doesn't make 2 more likely on the fourth spin.
