Spin the wheel for numbers 1 to 500

Spin for a number from 1 to 500. Each one has a 0.2% chance. With this many numbers the slices are thin, so keep an eye on the large number under the wheel: it shows whatever is under the pointer as the wheel slows down.

Big raffles and giveaways

  • Fundraisers: number every ticket sold and spin for each prize.
  • Online giveaways: number your entries and spin on a live stream or a screen share.
  • Event door prizes: spin a badge or seat number for each prize.

Choose Remove from wheel after every winner so a number can only win once. The Results tab keeps a timed list of every draw.

Tip: Before you draw, write the number of tickets you sold in To. If ticket 437 never sold, it shouldn’t be able to win.

Random page, random line

  • Book roulette: spin for a page, read the first full sentence, and use it as a writing prompt.
  • Study review: spin for a page in your textbook and quiz yourself on it.
  • Poetry break: spin for a page in a collection of poems and read whatever you land on.

Long lists

Five hundred is about the size of a big recipe collection, a music library playlist or a bank of practice questions. Number the list and spin for something new.

Fair every time

The result comes from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator before the spin. Every number has the same chance, no matter how thin its slice looks. For the biggest wheel, try 1 to 1000.

Questions people ask

What are the odds of each number from 1 to 500?

Each number has a one in five hundred chance, which is 0.2%.

Will the wheel be slow with 500 numbers?

No. It spins just as smoothly as a small wheel. The labels are tiny, so the number under the pointer is shown in large type below the wheel, and the winner pops up in a big card.

Can I spin for a random page in a book?

Yes. Change To to the last page of your book, spin, and turn to that page.
